Brown Paper Packages

I decorated this year’s Christmas Wreath with “brown paper packages tied up in string”. I used brown paper recycled from last year’s wrapping, and a few small boxes for the packages. Not as elaborate as lasts year’s but very quick and easy.

And to complete the theme, “a few of my favourite things”:

Brother Heinrich’s Christmas, by John Rutter. A beautiful story set to music that was a big part of our childhood.

The Story of Holly and Ivy. Some more Christmas nostalgia here. I loved how this book came out every Christmas, and reading it again was like entering back into the season.

Beautifully Illustrated Advent Calendars. It might be a bit silly, but in our household or two adults, we have an advent calendar and carefully take turns to open a door each evening.

Anne Sofie von Otter’s Home For Christmas. One of the best Christmas albums ever. I’m such a fan. One year I transcribed Dancing Day for tuba and violin for my sister to play along….
